This page will tell you in a little bit of a secret of how this blog came to be & what was the writer thinking.
Let me tell you, it wasn't smooth sailing.
This is my fourth baby.
After conceiving "The Chronicles of Truth Blabber" (Friendster), "Word Vomit" (Blogspot), and "The Katherine Genn Guerra Blog" (WordPress), this baby came to be.
You might be thinking...
What is wrong with this writer?
How come she "hops" around leaving her past blogs unattended, uncared for?
Then makes a new one out of the blue.
Well, let me explain in the simplest way I can.
IT DIDN'T WORK OUT.
T.C.T.B. and W.V. were my old blogs which I had fun writing about anything but I really wasn't that serious about making a career nor passion out of it. Besides, not to offend Friendster & Blogspot, two of the reasons why I stopped were because I don't use my Friendster account anymore & back then I was not sure I wanted to settle for Blogspot. I wanted to explore. I knew that something out there was better than this site.
BUT: I was wrong. Blogger or Blogspot is the right kind for me. That's why I have returned and to make amends, I am creating a new blog which I intend to care & nourish with love by blogging zealously.
Now, about my WordPresss account, (whew!) it had a whole different twist & drama.
It was catalyst by an emotion called envy.
I had found one particular blog whose sole purpose was to belittle me.
No need to mention whose blog it was. I don't want to make a frenzy out of it.
But if you must insist on the blind item: I never liked pink after knowing that blog. ;)
I confess, I was at my lowest of lows. Desperate for attention. Particularly of one person whom I wanted to show that I AM BETTER. Better at writing, blogging, and everything else that person admired for that "other" blogger. It worked actually. I won. In my hands was an imaginary trophy with the engraved words: BEST FOR USING WRONG EMOTIONS AS A CATALYST FOR ANY KIND OF SUCCESS.
I wasn't happy at all. The prize I got was unworthy of the time & effort I put in.
When you do things for the wrong reasons, it doesn't satisfy you. It makes it irrelevant on why you're doing it on the first place.
Plus: you know how hard it is to make one self's blog known when you're URL is toooooooo long?
Try typing everyday, "thekatherinegennguerrablog.wordpress.com".
So, I'm off to a new start. Starting from scratch! Literally.
This time though, I hope to make this blog inspired by love, passion, and satisfaction of doing this for myself.
Because as a writer, I ♥ TO WRITE.
